I live in my beautiful flat and rent it out or offer it for exchange while I am away, typically for two weeks to two months. It is available at various periods during 2026. Please let me know your dates and I will try to accommodate you. The flat (apartment) is on the first floor of a beautiful Edwardian hospital, the Belgrave Hospital for Children, described by English Heritage as “castle style with Scottish touches: romantic but austere”. Read more here https://ezitis.myzen.co.uk/belgrave.html The hospital was converted into flats in the 1990s. There is a lift. There is a shared roof terrace with wonderful views across London. The flat has one king-size bed so can accommodate a couple. The living area has a dining table which seats five. It is well-suited for writing and working from home. Broadband is part fibre with a download speed of 71-72 Mb (guaranteed minimum 68Mb) and an upload speed of 17-18Mb. The kitchen is small but fully equipped, including an air fryer. The flat has one bedroom with a kingsize bed (2 metres by 1.6 metres or 79 x 63 inches) which is upstairs (ten stairs) and plenty of space for clothes and personal items. The bathroom has a full bath and shower with a water pump to ensure good pressure. Full disclosure section! There is no TV but you can connect your computer to a 50cm screen. The ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom are 6'4" (1m 95). Anyone over 1m 80 (5’9”) will not be able to stand up straight in the shower. Use the hand-held shower head - or lie in the bath. The building has many historical features and is full of character. The conversion to flats in the 1990s was well done. There can occasionally be glitches but help is always available. There is no access to a small store room. Back to the wonderful benefits of staying in this flat... Location, location, location! The underground is 100m away; Waterloo station is two stops away on the Northern line. It takes 15 minutes to reach Euston, 17 to Kings Cross/St Pancras. There are direct buses to Trafalgar Square, Victoria, Oxford Street, Paddington, Waterloo and London Bridge. Vauxhall mainline station is a ten-minute walk away with trains to the south west and access to the Victoria line. The Thames is a 12 minute walk; Westminster takes 25 minutes on foot. Residents have access to the roof terrace with views to St Paul's, the City of London, the Shard and south to Crystal Palace. There is a weekly farmers' market in the churchyard next door on Saturdays and the historic Kennington Park is a few minutes' walk. Local dining options include Eritrean, Indian, Japanese, Portuguese, Korean, modern British, gastropub, Venezuelan and traditional fish and chips. Brixton with its famous market and nightlife is a 15 minute walk. There is a weekly cleaning service with linen and towel change: enjoy sleeping in freshly ironed Egyptian cotton sheets.
