On 30 November 2025, a new train line opened, which speeds up the journey to University of Melbourne and RMIT University, and the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Women's Hopsital. To the University of Melbourne, it is a 20 minute tram ride plus 10 minute train ride. Also in easy walking distance are buses to La Trobe University, Monash University Clayton Campus and Ripponlea Station for transport to any hospital or university campus in Melbourne.
