Our apartment is located in the 15th arrondissement just south of the Eiffel Tower. It's on a lively street in a residential neighborhood -- morning rush hour means kids headed to school and merchants opening up their cafés, fruit markets, cheese shops and bakeries. It's right across the street from Ecole Jeannine Manuel and a few blocks from the Bilingual International School of Paris. There is great French, Korean, Thai, Ethiopian and Basque food within a couple blocks, as well as a craft beer bar, bobo coffee shop, a cocktail bar, an outdoor market and the Beaugrenelle shopping center. The neighborhood is also well served by the 42, 70 and 88 bus lines and the 6, 10 and 8 metros, which take you directly to most of the major museums, universities, historic sites and cool parts of town. The apartment is 67.5 square meters (727 square feet) and was our home for almost four years. It has two well-separated bedrooms with closets and a convertible couch and dining table in the living room. There's a fully-equipped eat-in kitchen, a bathroom with a bathtub, and a separate toilettes. There are bike- and car-sharing services across the street, and several playgrounds for kids within a short walk. The whole apartment gets great light. The apartment is on the second floor, no elevator (48 steps) of a brick and stone building dating to 1913. There is a gardien who takes care of mail and package delivery and maintenance, and who is a great help in many matters.
