Cosy apartment with wonderful views. Located in one of Madrid's prettiest squares, featuring a 17th-century convent, a splash of greenery in the city center, and several cafés where you can have a drink or snacks/tapas. Bright and sunny, the apartment has a balcony offering open views of the square, as well as lovely sunsets. Great for couples or solo travelers. There is an extra mattress in the living room (tucked under the sofa) that can sleep a third person for short stays. I live in this apartment for part of the year, and rent it out when I'm not there. Fun fact: If you've seen Almodovar's recent film "Madres Paralelas", you might recognize the building: it's where Penelope Cruz "lived", and the café just underneath (Café Moderno) where several scenes were filmed. FEATURES Cleverly designed to make the most of the space, the apartment has a living room, a sleeping alcove with a comfortable double bed, a spacious bathroom with shower and a small but well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful details include old marble floors, a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and authentic Spanish terracotta kitchen tiles. Note: The apartment is equipped with an extra single mattress. N.B. Excellent public transport connections. Near metro stations Noviciado (line 2), Plaza de España (lines 3 and 10) and San Bernardo (line 4). Also within easy walking distance of Tribunal and Bilbao (both line 1). EQUIPPED WITH: Elevator, bed and bath linens, kitchen essentials, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, TV, phone and internet. A selection of guides and maps of Madrid, Spanish phrasebooks and dictionaries, and an eclectic library of English and Spanish books is also available for the visitor to use.
