Furnished townhouse in Melbourne available for rental for 6 months

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ashburton, with the friendly, helpful neighbours, great array of good shops within reasonable walking distance, and convenient public transport – train station only a 10-minute walk and the bus stop just around the corner. We also appreciated G and R's generous hospitality, with the well-equipped kitchen and pantry, and excellent communications.

Another bonus was the proximity of Gardiners Creek, with its fascinating waterway, pretty little vistas twisting amongst playing fields and playgrounds – wonderful for some long, healthy walks.

I stayed at Gillian and Rob's place in Ashburton from March-October 2023. It was a fabulous place to stay; I had a great time there.

The house is very well designed and comfortable, spacious, and warm (for the winter!). There are so many things I loved about the place: great kitchen, sunny courtyard, comfortable bedroom and ensuite, as well as space upstairs for a dedicated study.

I loved the area too. Nearby there's a cycle/walking path that goes all the way into the city, or to Deakin Uni at the other end. The local high street is great - lots of small shops. I had a peaceful winter and walked every day.

Gillian and Rob took care of everything and were very generous with their time and help. I consider them friends. Thanks for everything!
