Excellent walking and biking, including the famous paths through the Berkeley hills. The location is very close to public transportation. Great biking to campus and on the Ohlone Bikeway. The bus line 79 goes to the UC Berkeley campus through Downtown Berkeley, and the G bus is express to San Francisco. Bart is 1 mile or a quick bus ride away. Walkable and bikeble to Solano Avenue and El Cerrito Plaza, and a bit further to the Gourmet Ghetto, Monterey Market, and shops along Gilman, Hopkins and San Pablo Ave.
