The U-Bahn (U9) and S-Bahn (Ringbahn) are easily reachable by foot, and numerous bus lines connect the neighbourhood to Mitte and Charlottenburg. There are more than half a dozen supermarkets to choose from , including organic (LPG, Bio Company, Al Natura), Turkish Markets, Edeka, Rewe, two farmers markets and more. Some of the city’s best Indian and Lebanese restaurants are directly around the corner – as well as the best hummus in Berlin, hands down. A selection of bars and cafes cater to the neighbourhoods many student residents. For families, playgrounds abound with facilities for all ages. The city’s most beautiful park, the Tiergarten, is a 10-minute walk away, as are the Technical University and University of Arts and the historical Arminius Markthalle with its special culinary offerings.
