We're a retired couple who re-located to the Pacific Northwest to be near our grandchildren. What a wonderful choice we made. . . Life in Bellingham is just right for us: A university town, plenty of outdoor activities, a charming old town village, a great social life for retirees. We hope to find a copasetic academic, traveling professional, or dare-we-say writer to live in our charming and well-appointed hillside apartment for the school year. The neighborhood is wooded and quiet, though we are also a short distance to the university and to the town. Views are lovely, neighbors friendly, parking and traffic easy, walking delightful. Please see the photos for our best interior description. A note regarding our current Trust Score and Reviews: In Berkeley, from 2016-2020, we hosted a number of families and individuals in both our home and our garden apartment, and we greatly enjoyed getting to know our guests. They certainly seemed pleased with their stay in our home. Alas, none of us had the opportunity to post reviews, as this was not a feature of Sabbatical Homes at that time. As hosts, we have been inactive for five years. Meanwhile, we moved to a new state and city, and this is a completely fresh listing for a new property, for which we have had no Sabbatical guests. You may be our first guest here in Bellingham!

Comments: Because the house is on a wooded hillside, your balcony and windows look out on trees. Other guests have commented that it is like being in a treehouse with peekaboo bay views. The fireplace is gas, the laundry room has easy access.
