Nestled on a quiet, tree-lined street in the centrally located in the highly desirable McKellar park neighborhood, our home offers comfort, creativity, and calm. We love sharing our space with kind, like-minded travelers and take great care to ensure you feel truly at home. 🏠 The Home: 3 bedrooms: One large primary bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and two children’s rooms with twin/double beds. Each space is lovingly decorated, with thoughtful touches and plenty of storage. 2 full bathrooms (one with a shower, the other a bathtub). Fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, Berley water filter, blender, mixer, and everything you need to cook nourishing meals. Dining area that seats 4-5 comfortably. Open, sunlit living room with high-speed internet, streaming services, and a cozy fireplace for winter stays. Private backyard with mature trees, a deck, BBQ, hot tub, and plenty of green space to play or relax. 🌳 The Neighborhood: We are located in one of Ottawa’s most beloved neighborhoods. It is quiet, safe, and close to everything. You'll find: - Coffee shops, restuarants, and Carlingwood mall with a 5-minute walk. - Easy access to the Ottawa River pathways, perfect for biking, running, or riverside picnics. - Public transit a block away; downtown Ottawa is just 15 minutes by transit or car. Access to both French and English schools, libraries, and family activities if staying longer-term. 🧘 Ideal For: - Families seeking a peaceful, walkable base to explore Ottawa and eastern Canada. - Writers, artists, or remote workers looking for a cozy and creative space. - Couples on sabbatical or summer retreats. - Travelers interested in cultural offerings, museums, nature, and bilingual immersion. Otherwise, our neighbor helps look after him - Games, books, musical instruments, and toys for children of all ages - Bikes available for exploring the pathway system 🤝 Exchange Preferences: We are open to both simultaneous and non-simultaneous exchanges. Summer and holiday swaps work especially well for us.
