We are an academic couple heading to New York for a 10-month research stay and are looking for considerate tenants who will enjoy our cozy and character-filled home. It’s located in a beautiful, green, and family-friendly neighborhood in Berlin (Pankow) with friendly neighbors and a strong sense of community. The apartment is situated very close a large park with several playgrounds and a public swimming pool. It’s about 10 minutes on foot from the neighborhood center, which offers a shopping mall, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and more. Public transport connection is good, with S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram, and bus stops just a few minutes away. Located on the second floor of a historic, heritage-listed building, the apartment features original hardwood floors and doors, high ceilings, stucco, and art deco elements. In the building's backyard, there is a sandbox for children living in the complex. There is one bedroom, one living room with balcony, one office room, full bathroom (shower in bathtub), and kitchen. The kitchen has modern appliances, gas-stove, dishwasher and a large fridge. Washing machine is in the bathroom. The apartment is fully furnished, including sheets, towels, kitchenware etc. We will clean out the place of our personal belongings. Perfect for a couple or a small family. The office room could be rearranged as a second bedroom, and the sofa in the living room extends to a bed for occasional guests. There is also basement where you can store bicycles. Rent includes all utilities (Wifi, heat, gas, water, electricity; up to a reasonable limit which will be communicated beforehand). No smokers please.
