Description
The place in question is a mixture of semi-detached house and apprtment: it was designed in the 1970s by an architect, and inhabited by a make-up artist, the former tenant. The vast living-room plus kitchen, and veranda (5 meter high) and the four half storeys with waxed concrete floors, and the small garden make it a very pleasurable place to inhabit and, possibly, work in. At the same time, it is 4 minutes away from the metro station (Mairie d'Ivry, with a pedestrian street), with a lot of other public transportation options, and cycling possibilities. It is a 30 minutes walk to Université Paris Cité (where I work), or INALCO (with also a direct bus). For Bibliothèque François Mitterand, add 10 minutes. The neighbourghood itsel, althoug located in a large suburban city, resembles a small village: from the metro station, you turn round the church, then go up a small pedestrian street overlooking the local cemetary, and you are home.

Comments: Since the place comes with a resident cat, any other animal would be unwelcome. It is also distributed on several levels, separated each time by a small flight of stairs, so that could be a problem for young kids.

Comments: The house is provided with a (most likeable) cat included, which will have to be fed, hence the lower price than the standing of the place would normally command. Tenants staying from July 29 (or up to August 7) to August 17 will be favoured.
