This is a spacious 2-room funished studio in the beautiful residential neighborhood of North Berkeley. The studio is downstairs in the home where I live about half the year and my adult son lives year round. There is a private entrance through the backyard. The UC campus is about 35-40 minutes walk and there are bus stops 5-10 minutes walk away. There is street parking and lots of shops, cafes etc nearby on bustling Solano Ave. The studio is fully carpeted and furnished with a cal-king bed, desk, office chair chest of drawers, rocking chair and kitchen table and chairs., as well as bookshelves and a mini-closet. The kitchenette is equipped with a toaster oven/toaster, microwave, fridge, kettle and hot plate. The tiled bathroom has both a shower and bathtub. Tenants have access to house laundry facilities as well as the outdoor patio in the backyard. The studio is downstairs in the home where I live half the year and my adult son lives year round. I am a (recently) retired professor and he is a recreation counselor. This is a perfect spot for a quiet grad student, faculty member, or professional (e.g. nurse) who is visiting Berkeley for 3-12 months. I am open to extending the lease for the right person. The studio is ready to rent now!
