We are empty-nesters with a newly renovated basement apartment in our century home, offering a self-contained, 1 bedroom apartment for one person in need of a quiet home for 4-8 months. We ensure a very comfortable stay with a fully furnished apartment: a relaxing living room looking out on the park, well-appointed kitchen, office space, new double mattress, and windows in each room except the bathroom. Parking included. All utilities included except wifi. Laundromat is around the corner. Our home is under two ancient walnut trees with native plant gardens and across from our much loved Sunny Acres Park with mature trees, a community garden, wading pool and skating/hockey rinks in cold winters. Small sitting area outside by your entrance. Fire door between our home and yours. Egress window. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. You can easily walk to the closest bus stop 5 minutes away or walk 15 minutes downtown to catch local buses and Via/GO trains connecting to other cities and the Toronto Pearson Airport/Toronto International Island Airport. Four new GO trains servicing trips to Toronto on Saturday and Sunday. Quaint downtown Guelph has a Saturday Farmers Market, food shops, restaurants, art galleries, music venues, a museum, pharmacy and boutiques just a 15 minute walk away. The University of Guelph is a 15 minute car/bike ride away or 30 minute bus ride. The University of Waterloo and Laurier University are a 30 minute drive or a GO Bus ride away (1 hour 30 minutes). McMaster University in Hamilton is straight down Highway 6 - 1 hour drive. We are quiet people who cannot tolerate pets, smoking, drugs or vaping on the premises.
