My spacious 1-bedroom apartment is fully furnished and equipped for everyday living. It has a balcony with seating and plants that looks to the city, and lovely furniture (including comfortable queen bed. The walls have art or mirrors throughout and rugs on top of wooden floors or a lovely deep bedroom carpet. There is space to work as well as eat on the table in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and sits off the living room. The bathroom is light and welcoming (shower only, though in a bath). The wifi is very reliable and there is constant hot water. The building itself is safe and clean, with two fob-activated entrances, a concierge from 12 noon to evening, and a lift to the 5th floor (the apartment is the top floor). You'll be able to enjoy an early evening aperitif on the balcony looking towards the city, and early morning sunshine through the bedroom windows. The neighbourhood is Haggerston (East London). There are brilliant transport links on the overground, underground (connections) and buses - into town, East or North. You can also walk into central London in 40 mins (to Islington along the canal) or 60 mins to Bloomsbury, and east it's 15 minutes walk to Broadway market (a must at the weekend, with lots of artisan food and second-hand clothing an books), or Columbia Road flower market (Sundays), or 30 minutes to Victoria Park (wonderful large park with Pavillion). The neighbourhood itself has a distinct character with nice restaurants and cafes on the doorstep, as well as a grocer store and a yoga studio 30 seconds from the front entrance to the building. It is part of 'green Hackney' with multiple parks and green spaces, as well as recycling of plastics, cardboard and food waste just outside the building. I work at a central London university, and it's really easy to get to any of these from the flat. You can walk east for 45 mins along the canal to Queen Mary (or public transport is good), or walk west for an hour to LSE, SOAS, Kings, UCL London Metropolitan is also about 40 mins away by public transport. I'll provide bedding, towels and bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc, but not toothpaste or body lotion!) for the stay, and will charge a fee of £75 for cleaning at the end. If you're staying a month or more, I'll ask that you pay for a clean every couple of weeks. Please look after my outdoor and indoor plants!

Comments: Haggerston is on the Windrush Line so it takes 20-30 mins into central London. It is zone 2, and you can walk in the neighbourhood (along canals, through wonderful parks), or walk into town through Islington and Clerkenwell. It is a runner's heaven!
Comments: Short stays are £100 a day up to a month. Mandatory payment for cleaner at the end of stay and fortnightly for longer stays.
Comments: Public transport is very easy from the apartment. And biking, running or walking are easy and plentiful in this part of London. I can order visitors car permits if you have a car - there is no parking space - but that's rather expensive!
Emptying the mailbox if it's a long stay please.

Comments: The apartment is filled with light in the morning and through the day. It is nicely furnished with art on the walls and is a quiet haven in an otherwise bustling part of Hackney. While there isn't an office, there is a table I use as my office.
