Comfortable home just 2 blocks from the D-line bus to downtown Seattle, for access to the waterfront, Space Needle and museums. The Ballard business district is a 20 min walk to great food, shopping and music venues. Or, walk up a very steep street to Phinney Ridge for mountain views, and lots more shopping and excellent food. We like to bike over to Golden Gardens beach to picnic and put our feet in the cold Puget Sound, or visit the Locks to see boats traveling from Lake Washington out to sea! The University of Washington is a pretty, 30 min bike ride or 40 min bus trip. Our house is accessible to lots of bus routes: D, 5, 28, 40, 44, and 45. And our new light rail connection travels across Lake Washington on the only floating commuter train bridge, in the world! This fun ride has views of mountain on both sides! This house is on three levels, with a kids' bedroom and bath on the ground floor. The main floor has an open kitchen and comfortable living/sitting room with a sunny reading window, and a half bath. There is also a large projector screen and hook up for streaming services like Netflix, etc. The upstairs has two bedrooms, both with queen sized beds. The "office" includes a Murphy bed and a sitting/standing desk with two extra monitors, and a window seat. The second bedroom has a small desk. This floor has the second full bath and a washer/dryer. There is a small back garden, great for drinking sundowners or just enjoying the long summer days.
