Our apartment is on the fifth floor of a well-kept condominium built in 1960, in the northern part of Quartiere 1, one of Florence’s central neighborhoods. The apartment is bright and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling balcony windows, abundant natural light, and open views of the sky and nearby hills. It has marble floors, a washer and dryer, and a Daikin air conditioning system that keeps the home comfortable throughout the year. The location is convenient without being in the middle of the most crowded tourist areas. The Duomo is about a 25-minute walk away, and supermarkets, shops, cinemas, a gym, cafés, and everyday services are all within easy reach. The tram stop is about 100 meters from the building. From there, you can reach the historic center or the airport in about 10 minutes. The tram runs frequently during the day and into the evening. Cascine Park, Florence’s largest park, is nearby. It is a good place for walking, jogging, open-air events, summer concerts, and the local Tuesday market. The Maggio Musicale Fiorentino opera theater is also close by. The apartment is best suited for a single person or a couple. It is not especially equipped for families with children. This is our family home, and we care for it carefully. We take our shoes off, keep the space clean and tidy, and do not smoke. Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment, on the balconies, or in the condominium. We treat other people’s homes with the same care we give our own, and we kindly ask the same from our guests.
