Large 2nd floor apt w/in walking distance to U of Minnesota & Augsburg

This is a full-size, large, 1-bedroom apartment with an office space that we have successfully rented to university faculty, post-docs, and medical residents for over 18 years. The last time we listed it on Sabbatical Homes was in 2011 which is why we do not have many reviews. Our guests have described the apartment as a large, well-equipped, peaceful space to be productive and relax. Several dissertations and books have been written in this apartment! If you want a place to entertain & host gatherings, you will not enjoy this space. If you want a quiet place to work, get writing done or have some private R&R you will enjoy it here. The space is most comfortable for one but can accommodate two (note: it is not set up for babies or young children). The apartment is fully furnished and has everything you need, but you can decorate it how you’d like. The living room has a futon that converts into a bed, a spacious closet (w/ cleaning supplies, iron & ironing board), and a new flat-screen TV w/ Roku TV. There is also an office nook with a regular size desk, height adjustable chair, and bookshelf. The office area overlooks Riverside Park with lots of green space. The Mississippi River and River Road paths (for biking, walking, and running) are located right below the park. The small, eat-in kitchen with a window is fully stocked with dishes, flatware, cooking utensils, cookware, glasses, coffee, and tea. It also has a toaster, microwave, various coffee makers, new dishwasher, garbage disposal, a small stove, and a full-size fridge. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed (purchased new in 2020) with a goose down comforter. There is also a full-length sized mirror and a table for your toiletries. The table can also be used as a second working space. The closet includes a hair dryer, extra blankets, towels, sheets as well as hangers and storage for clothes. The bathroom has a sparkling clean tub and shower, soft cotton towels, and a large medicine cabinet. Each room has fast Wi-Fi and central air conditioning. There is one free parking space in back and parking across the street is always free. Our family lives on the first floor with our own private entry (i.e. you do not walk through our space to get to the apartment - you have your own private entry). The only room we all share is the laundry room, located in our basement. We have a cat and a dog. They do not have access to the apartment, but our cat sometimes roams the hallways. Our diverse neighborhood is located in the center of Minneapolis; although we are close to Interstate 94, our neighborhood is residential and quiet. As a point of reference, the closest grocery store to us is Seward Co-Op on Franklin Avenue.
