Writer's retreat in Paris: large, peaceful studio.. stunning views & light!

The experience in this apartment was just wonderful. I can only recommend this listing! You can reach all the interesting spots in Paris within 20 minutes and Belleville itself is a great area to live in. The host was always quick to reply to my messages and really cared for me to have a great stay. I stayed for five months and would always come back!

Nathalie's apartment is a treasure - living in such a home-like and beautiful place really made my trip. I stayed for about eight weeks and I feel so lucky to have found it!

Nathalie was lovely to speak with, and made the whole process easy. She was very quick to respond to messages and calls.

The apartment has sweeping views over the park and across the city. Having this sense of space is great anywhere, but it's especially nice to have (and unusual!) in a big city like Paris. I spent a fair while in the apartment writing and resting, and it is a lovely place to spend time. The bed and couch are comfy, the decoration cosy. The heating worked a treat.

The neighbourhood is great too, and the metro only a short walk away. Highly recommend!

It was a joy to stay at Nathalie's home and to get to know her, as well as her long-time friend and housekeeper Fatima and other close building neighbors. I miss it so much already and am looking forward to returning someday hopefully soon. It was amazing to live right on Buttes Chaumont. Easy communication, kind host, etc. Thank you, Nathalie!!

This apartment is absolutely fantastic, and it is located in one of Paris' best neighbourhoods. The apartment is at the fifth and top floor with a great view over Buttes Chaumont, the petanque players, and the sunset. The apartment itself is very cosy, charming, and calm. It has a deep spiritual atmosphere. The neighbourhood is vibrant with bookshops, cafes, bars and community Qi Gong every morning in right down the steps in Buttes Chaumont.
Lastly, Nathalie was the perfect host, very kind and welcoming. We highly recommend staying here, and we hope to come back!

I stayed in the studio for three months in the spring/summer. It was a very nice stay. The studio is perfect for one person, not crowded, and with a great and private view to the park. The location was quiet, safe, and very convenient to the metro. The building was also quiet, and the internet was fast and reliable. During my stay, I did not have any issues, but Nathalie was responsive and kind. I definitely recommend this studio for someone looking for a relaxing place away from the city bustle.

I stayed in this apartment for three months in winter (mid-December to mid-March) with my partner, and it was the perfect place for us. Ample table space for working (a desk and a dining room table), a very comfortable and easy pullout couch, inspiring views of the park, easy access to boulangeries Milligramme. It is a bit chilly in the winter, but the space heaters help. It is also a bit damp in the bathroom and the window really does need to be kept open or it can get musty, but cleaning the tiles helps. The host lives abroad but is very easy to reach and accomodating. Would definitely stay again if we come back!

I spent a month in Nathalie's apartment this winter. The location and the view are incredible. It was such a lovely place to land for a few weeks in Paris. It's quiet, secure, and feels safe. Communication with both Nathalie and her cleaner was great. My only critique is the energy efficiency of the unit - it was very cold inside the apartment in January (I even wore goose down pants and booties indoors). I imagine the temperature would be lovely during the shoulder season.

I had such a lovely stay in Nathalie's home in Paris. The location is very special, on the edge of the park and overlooking the city. It felt like a little haven. There is everything you need within a few minutes walk – groceries, boulangerie, bar, petanc courts! Nathalie was very welcoming and the flat itself was lovely. The bed is easy to use, the kitchen is well-equipped and the bathroom is clean. Nathalie was quick to respond to any queries or issues. Would definitely recommend!

This lovely apartment has a lot of character, and was a perfect place for me to stay while I was in France on a research fellowship for three months in 2023. It is nicely furnished, and there was even just enough room for my family to stay when they came for a short visit. The owner was very kind and responsive when I had questions, the neighborhood was quiet, the neighbors in the building friendly, and the proximity to (and views of) the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont priceless. It's a short (10 minute) walk to the commercial amenities on rue de Belleville, and 5-10 minutes to several Métro stations, but there are two groceries (one organic), a popular bakery, and a pharmacy--plus the park--within a block or so. Highly, highly, recommended!

The Lotus studio was a gorgeous place to spend a few months in Paris. It is a large studio with lots of natural light, and it has a well equipped kitchen. I will never get over the efficiency of Parisian apartments that make use of every inch of space for storage.

Situated in a real Parisian neighborhood, on the Buttes-Chaumont park, close both to the Jourdain and Belleville neighborhoods, it is an oasis of local urban life in a city that can be very touristy otherwise.Nathalie was very attentive before my arrival and made all the preparations so I could easily retrieve the keys and settle in after a trans-Atlantique flight.

This apartment is a little jewel which we return to again and again when working in Paris! We are very grateful to have found Nathalie's apartment, as it is a wonderful location on the Buttes-Chaumont Park, (perfect for a daily run or walk), with views beyond to the Sacre-Coeur. The ambience is great for quiet working, and the designer sofa bed is totally comfy.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED our stay here. Don't let the stairs or the sofa couch make you pass on this GREAT location, at an extremely reasonable price. We stayed a month, and hope to do it again. The stairs take 2-3 days to get used to, and the sofabed is sooo comfortable we tried to buy one for our home - made in England ; ( The treasure of this apt is the view out over the lovely park (perfect for a walk, meditation, feed the ducks, or an ice cream) no looking on other buildings just lush greenery. Also location, one block to two Metro stations - easy to all Paris - and easy walking to many nearby restaurants, grocery, bakeries, farm markets, a Picards! and quaint cool neighborhoods and sites. The security building is lovely and the neighbors are very helpful. In this location we feel like we "lived" in Paris for a month, instead of just "visiting." We will certainly stay here again.

I was extremely happy staying in Nathalie's studio. It has a great atmosphere - quiet, lots of light, great views and airflow. It's a very calm space to live and work in. The neighbourhood has a real charm, nothing too fancy or overdeveloped, just regular Parisian life with a nice mix of people from different backgrounds, and a close to Belleville and the Canal if you're looking for more activity. Plus Buttes Chaumont is fantastic, one of the best parks in the city, so having that outside the front door is hard to beat.

Nathalie is a wonderful host, more like a friend than a landlord! I recommend to anyone to stay in this lovely studio, with the most glorious view of Paris. It's warm and comfortable even on the coldest nights. The five flights of stairs are good exercise, and once you are up in this cosy nest, you'll feel very comfortably ensconced, surrounded by books and artefacts of Nathalie's many journeys, and her stunning photographs. The park nearby is a source of delightful walks, there are some lovely restaurants and bakeries nearby, and transport is easy to access from several directions. I can offer the strongest testimonial of my two months' stay!
