Berlin: Your own house w/ garden on a quiet terrace in the historic centre!

Fully furnished terrace house, sunny and quiet, yet centrally located, close to HU’s Mitte campus, well connected to all three major universities (HU incl. Adlershof, TU, FU), train stations and airport. Private garden, wooden floors, several bedrooms incl. ample office space that sleep up to 5 people (2 double, one single), plus an additional guest room in the basement; large, sunny living room, kitchen with all amenities, two main bathrooms (incl. showers, bath tub), plus small bathroom (just sink and toilet). Rental period: 10/2024 – 02/2025. This house is our main house, which we rent out while on sabbatical. It is the end house of a quiet seven-house terrace with very nice neighbours. It is pretty unique to have a single-family house with a garden in this location in Berlin (Mitte / Luisenstadt), right in the middle of everything in a very sought-after neighbourhood. We very much enjoy living here, and it is perfect for staying in Berlin – quiet and green, yet right in the middle of Berlin at the site of the former wall, with a range of restaurants, cafés, galleries, shops, etc., within walking distance to Berlin castle, Museum island, and Humboldt University’s Mitte campus. The Luisenstadt quarter where the house is located is well-known for its beautiful historic rose garden (rght across the street), with a pond where we sometimes skate in winter and watch turtles in summer from the park café. Thanks to its central location, the house is well-connected by public transport, with subway (U1, U3, U8) and S-Bahn (S5, S7, S75) stops and a major bus route (M29) nearby and the Ostbahnhof train station within easy reach (with direct trains to the airport, 20 minutes to BER). Regional trains, e.g. to Potsdam with its historic sites, or even to the Polish border (Frankfurt-Oder/Słubice is just an hour’s train ride away), leave from nearby Alexanderplatz. All three major universities (HU, FU, TU) can easily be reached. The house spreads over four floors (including the basement with a guest bedroom and a workroom with washing machine and dryer, iron, and workbenchI. The house has a small front garden of its own, next to a small play area (with swings) shared with the terrace. In the back, we have a patio and a larger private garden, with a natural meadow and lots of fruits and berries, and a swing sofa under a cherry tree, for dreamy summers or mulled wine in winter :) We are looking for longer-term tenants interested in renting for at least 4 (ideally 5) months, within the period of October 2024 to February 2025.
