We are a professor and a novelist in our early sixties. We have a bright 3 bedroom, (linens available), 2 bathroom home in Monkland Village a vibrant, friendly, green neighbourhood in Montreal. We have books and art in all the rooms. There are two large bedrooms with queen-sized beds, and one single bedroom. Plus two extra office rooms. There is a large finished basement with gym equipment -- a treadmill and a rowing machine and the laundry washer and dryer. Our garden is stunning from spring on through the summer with bulbs and perennials in bloom under a large old maple tree. In summer it is bliss to sit on the deck and enjoy the parade of colour and scent and in July the fireflies at night. The kitchen is large and fully equipped and includes a gas cooktop, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. We are minutes away on foot from schools, shops, cafés, restaurants, boutiques, parks, and the community swimming pool. There are bike paths everywhere, and easy access by bus and metro to all parts of Montreal.

Comments: Monkland Village is a lovely old neighbourhood with cafes, shops and transportation a few minutes on foot from the house.
Comments: We will consider renting out only the downstairs one-bedroom one-bath unit for $1500/- pm plus utilities. The cleaning service is fortnightly on Sundays and contingent upon our housekeeper agreeing to work in our absence. Utility charges negotiable.
We might need the mail to be removed from the box and stored in the house.
Tending to the garden from spring onwards and watering the houseplants once a week would be much appreciated.
