Home for Exchange or Rent in Boston (Jamaica Plain neighbourhood)

We're looking to exchange or rent our furnished home in the Jamaica Plain neighbourhood of Boston. (También hablamos español.) Some basic details: single-family home, 3 bedrooms (including a stunning master suite), 2 full bathrooms, 1 half bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, large recently-renovated home office in attic, smaller home office on ground floor (originally a sun room), and a play room (2 sofas, kids desk, piano, setup for projector/screen). Our home has lots of light, wood floors, a modern kitchen and modern bathrooms. We have a beautiful back and side yard with a charcoal bbq and a patio dining table, chairs, umbrella. We're in a lovely New England neighbourhood on a quiet dead-end street. Our home is a perfect fit for couples and small families. Our children are 8 & 9 and we can leave some toys for you to use if you’re interested. The master suite has a king bed. The second bedroom is currently setup as a kids bedroom with 2 single beds. The third bedroom has a queen bed. We can re-arrange upon request. Location details: We're located a few short steps across from the gorgeous Arnold Arboretum. We’re a 15-20 minute walk to the Forest Hills subway station (the orange subway line). There’s also a bus stop at the bottom of our street (a 2 minute walk to the #38 bus) that takes you to Forest Hills. We’re also about 15-20 minute walk to fun and quirky Jamaica Plain Centre with shops, cafés, and restaurants, and the historic Jamaica Pond. We’re also close to the quaint Allandale Farm. It’s easy to get by public transportation or driving to: Longwood medical area, Boston University, Boston College, Northeastern University, MIT, Harvard, UMass-Boston, Wellesley College, and more. Easy parking in driving and on street (no permit required, and there is always a lot of space). An occasional overnight guest is fine, but please no parties. Please try to be quiet after 10pm: we're looking for people who'll respect our family-friendly and quiet neighbourhood. We're an academic couple, both professors at a local university, and we'll be abroad on a research trip. We'd be happy to share more pictures, a floor plan, to do a video tour, and so on.
