An attic with a view

I am so tempted to gatekeep this place, but it wouldn't be fair to deprive others of this 10/10 experience! I loved it so much I extended my stay by nearly a full month. The island itself is perfect; big enough to provide seemingly endless paths and adventures, but small enough that it still has a truly authentic, off the beaten path character and is not swamped with tourists.

You will be blessed with hosts that make you feel at home from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave (which I never wanted to do!). They are available for anything you may need, but you will have ample privacy.

Fair warning: this is not a party island and you won't find many shops or restaurants. Best suited to those looking for a low key, unpretentious stay.

Had a wonderful, wonderful stay in Natalia and Joško's attic apartment. The Island is beautiful - not too developed, wonderful forest and hidden beaches and swimming spots. The apartment was gorgeous - decorated with lovely antiques, a super comfortable bed and really nice bathroom. Kitchen fully equipped and Natalia has thought of everything you might need.

But the very best thing was getting to know Natalia and her lovely family. Top local tips, fresh fruit and veggies from the garden, dinners and chats into the night. Thank you so much I will always remember the wonderful time I had here and I can't wait to come back. Elle

The owner and her family pulled out all the stops to make us comforatble and happy on her wonderful island. We adored everything about our stay from the venerable vintage ferry that chuffs its way to Dubrovnik thrice a day to the blossom-strewn valley where the house sits. The attic flat itself is small but perfectly formed. The terrace a delight with its views of a fisherman's bay that doesnt seem to have changed since graceful days past. We were there for the whole month of April and practiaclly had the delectable island to ourseleves. Sumtouos cliff edge walks were ours after being enchated by the fragrant pines forest that carpets the island. The sea is a green-blue that makes you blink with incredulity. While N-- is the perfect host.

I spent three idyllic months on Kolocep, from August-November 2020. The attic has an outstanding view of the surrounding area and spectacular sunsets over the ocean. I arrived on the island, somewhat unfit, following way too many years of sedentary work - daily walks on the island's numerous tracks, swimming (up till early November) and fresh eggs and veggies from the garden worked wonders! Natalia and her family were extremely generous with their time and attention to anything I needed during my stay. Highlights included a trip around the island in the fishing boat, fresh fish, wild mushroom and the garden patch. But most of all it was the family's hospitality that made me feel so welcome and at home.
