This is a one bedroom loft in a turn of century brick building for sabbatical rental or on short-term vacation. It provides a fully equipped home in the Ossington Avenue area, a trendy neighbourhood in downtown Toronto with many restaurants, cafés and boutiques. Close to the streetcar and bus terminals that reach the University of Toronto, Metropolitan University or OCADU. The loft has a central kitchen, a private living space, a bedroom, an office with a canon ink jet printer, a library with a desk, and a large roof deck with dining table, chairs and bbq. The library space can be converted into a second single bedroom. Master bedroom is a queen size bed, with dresser and closet space. The bathroom with separate shower and skylight, bathtub, includes towels and a medicine cabinet. It is a bright sunlight home with many windows, skylights, white brick walls, and maple wood flooring, and is located on the second story with views over the neighbourhood and CN tower. Loud music and parties are not permitted or encouraged in the building as it is shared with two private units on the ground floor and neighbours that are all quiet. This is a private rental for faculty or residency term. The entire space for rent is approximately 1200 sq. ft. and outdoor living space approximately 1200 sq. ft. It has the use of the propane BBQ, a patio table and six chairs, sitting area and a women's bike to borrow. Indoors, the living room, contains a wood stove fireplace for cold evenings. Firewood can be purchased with a local company. The adjacent kitchen is fully fitted with cupboards for tableware, cooking supplies, microwave, appliances and a six-chair dinner table. A washer and dryer are in the back library room, with recycling bins for bi-weekly waste collection, and a weekly organic food collection. A bicycle is available for borrowing during the time of the rental. The local area Ossington Avenue, Dundas Street, College Street and Queen Street, have all the amenities, restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, barbers, art galleries, and shopping. Comments: We do not want to be responsible for pets in the neighbourhood. A veterinary can be found on Dundas Street and Queen Street. Smoking is permitted with cautionary action. City street parking can be purchased for car owners and temporary permits.
