Description
We are two academics working in different universities in London teaching ecology, community led architecture and urban governance. This is our home for 25 years and as we are getting older we need to generate income to engage in doing advocacy work and enjoy a slower pace of life. We decided to rent a room in our house to academics in Stratford East London as a way to hear about other research and work people are doing. The area is super well connected not just to central London on tube and trains but also to the seaside in Essex. Three stops and you are at Epping forest. The DlR which is a 2mins walk connects to Stratford in two stops where you have Westfield and new campuses of UCL and UAL as well as the new Victoria and Albert Museum, Saddlers Wells and many others.

Comments: It’s a quiet street with DLR at the end of the street. A community garden initiated by residents is across the road. This was initiated by us and the neighbours so very close knit community

Comments: This is our home that we would be delighted to share with other academics around the world. We do a lot of advocacy work around climate justice so this money will be partially used for that and partially for travels to experience other societies
