Comfortable cabin in idyllic coastal hamlet

Aireys Inlet, Victoria, Australia
Rates from AUD $2000 | Monthly

Studio or Loft | Entire Home
Available Dates:
From June 12, 2026 until December 12, 2026

Description

This freestanding cabin is well-located in a lovely, quiet corner of Wadawurrung country, up the road from Painkalac Creek. It is located on the property of the owners' holiday house, which is occasionally (especially weekends and school holidays) occupied by them or family members, It is completely separate from the main residence, with its own parking area and deck. It has a pitched roof, split-level accommodation, picture windows, and good Wifi connection. The Queen-size bed has a pillow-top mattress, and the sofa has a very comfortable pull-out bed. The kitchen is fully equipped. The cabin is located within easy walking distance of spectacular cliffs (10 mins) and beaches (15 mins). The general store for Aireys Inlet is a few minutes walk away, as is the popular Aireys pub, various coffee shops and an excellent Greek Restaurant. A larger supermarket can be found around twenty minutes drive away, at Anglesea. The location is, as the title suggests, idyllic. The cliff walks are spectacular. Kangaroos will occasionally hop down the road before your very eyes. They graze in great numbers among the horses on the paddocks by the creek. King parrots, cockies, galahs, and kookaburras are just the largest and most obvious of the many birds around. If you are looking for something different during your time in Victoria, this might be the place for you. It has in its time served as a writer's retreat. A forty-minute drive along the coast and through picturesque countryside will bring you to Deakin University's main campus. Driving to Melbourne takes one and a half to two hours depending on time of day and actual destination, but the trip can also be made by bus and train, the bus stop being opposite the general store.
