It is located 5 minutes away from the 101 freeway and 10 minutes from freeway 5, with easy access to UCLA, USC, Occidental and other universities and research centers, including the Getty Research Institute, UCLA Clark Memorial Library, and the Huntington Library. Academic faculty and researchers are welcome who will be availed of a comfortable and quiet setting during their stay. It requires your ability to go up and down 30 steps from the street level, so it is best as a guest you are comfortable with stairs. The gate door has a keypad to enter. Other things to note : Down the hills is "Franklin Village" with cool cafes, restaurants, shops, bars, gourmet supermarkets, and even a comedy theater.
