We are offering our 1,250 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom furnished apartment in Peter Cooper Village for up to a 6 week sublease from January 12 to February 23. It's a comfortable and well-maintained space, ideal for someone who appreciates a family-friendly neighborhood in Manhattan. The unit gets direct, afternoon sun, and is on the 4th floor, with views just above tree level. All utilities are included in the rent with the exception of internet and an air conditioning surcharge (NYC law). Great option for a visiting family, a mature graduate or PhD student or students here for research, or visiting scholar who needs a place for the semester or someone with a residency at one of the nearby health facilities. Current master bedroom is used as an office and includes a queen-sized bed (current photo is outdated! We will update this in a day or two). The master bedroom has a bathroom with a full bathtub attached (see layout in final image). The smaller bedroom has a king size bed (current photo is outdated--will update in a day or two). The smaller bathroom off the main hallway has a stand-up shower. Light and views: The light in the house is very good. We have south west facing windows with good afternoon sun. The views out most of the windows is toward the interior of Peter Cooper Village, so mostly trees and buildings. The view out of the single north west facing window is included in the pictures. If you press your face against that north facing window, you can see the East River (we take what we can get!). Air conditioning throughout. Paid laundry in the basement with easy elevator access. Semi-private lawn outside the front door of the building. We're a few blocks from the East River and Asser Levy Gym. There is a large children's playground on the property. Additional Information: Smoking and pets are not allowed in the apartment. A security deposit of $2,700 is required. No pets allowed. No smoking. Apartment comes fully furnished. Children's toys will remain in place (but put away). We can make one closet in the bedroom available to you as well as empty some closet space near the front door.
