Beautiful Lake house close to Michigan State University!

6074 Columbia Street What we love about the house Sunrises! Waking up to the glow of sunrise reflecting over the lake in the set of east-facing master bedroom windows. The house offers commanding views of all the sail boats and other activities on the lake during the day. There is always something happening, all four seasons. Kayaking. We love kayaking any time, but especially in the pre-dawn hours, when the lake is very calm, and the wildlife are active, especially in the wetlands area on the south side of the lake. (2 Kayaks are in the house for the tenants use!) Fishing off the dock. Young children enjoy catching and releasing the many species of fish that swim past. The Parks and clubs! The house is walking distance to two parks. We enjoy the free summer concerts at Lake Lansing Park South, sometimes from our kayaks! Marshall Park is great for playing catch and has a large climbing set for the kids. The MSU Sailing Club is open to all, and offers a place to store sail boats and launch them. Lake Lansing Park North is a short bike or drive and offers wonderful hiking trails and an 18-hole Frisbee golf course. The lake also has an informal social club that organizes fun events on the lake and get-togethers. The Local businesses. The house is walking distance to three great restaurants, and a cone at the Quality Dairy is a nice summer treat for the kids. Monticello’s is a delightful high end grocery store, wonderful for foodies, and Meijer and Costco are also close. The Back Yard. Beautiful giant hosta plants grow so big and healthy every year. The yard and beach are more private than many of the Lake Lansing homes dur to the angle of the lake (offset houses). Sitting on the back deck is a guest favorite. The neighbors. To the North, is a retired businessperson and a retired MSU staffer. The the South, is a retired judge. They are very friendly and helpful.
