A lovely home for four in small historic town 35 minutes from London Euston

We are a part retired professional couple who moved from London to Berkhamsted ten years ago to be closer to nature. We still work at Ashridge Hult and in London. We would like to make our much cherished home available for up to four people whilst we take a sabbatical. The house comprises a spacious living room, dining room/kitchen, study/TV room, conservatory converted to a yoga studio (with ropes), WC and garage (storage) on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three double bedrooms. Two of them, each with an adjacent bathroom, are available to you. One bathroom has a built in shower, the other a bath with a shower. There is an additional study. There is a drive to the front for parking and a substantial private garden and patio to the rear. The house is uncluttered, extremely light and includes a lot of original artwork. We are very ecologically conscious and the house is well insulated with an air source heat pump, solar panels and an electric vehicle charger. The train station is a seven minute walk away with regular trains to Euston taking 35 minutes. Berkhamsted town centre, which is charming and its many facilities are about ten minutes walk away. These include restaurants, supermarkets (including Waitrose), many shops, cafes, pubs, and a cinema. There is a Norman castle and a picturesque canal bisects the town. The stunning nearby countryside, including Ashridge Forest and the Chilterns, offers many walks and cycling routes. Ashridge House (home of Hult International Business School) which dates originally from the 12th Century is one hour's walk away on beautiful forest paths.
