BERLIN: Beautiful, furnished studio flat in trendy Prenzlauer Berg

The flat isn't big, but it is comfortable and uncluttered, with high ceilings. All bedding and towels are provided, as are coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine, and a selection of teas. If you bring a suitcase you'll be able to store it in my own locked space in the cellar. The building dates from 1904 and was thoroughly renovated in 2006; as such it's refreshingly cool in the summer (it has very solid walls) and cozy and warm in the winter. There is a clothes washing machine (and heated drying rack) in the bathroom, which has a full-size bathtub. The unit is ideal for two people (there is a double sofa bed, and a raised single bed, taking advantage of the high ceiling). And the location is fantastic! I'm always delighted to share tips with guests and visitors: the fabulous Japanese restaurant just a couple of streets away (with its bargain EUR 15 lunch!), tiny urban parks hardly anyone knows about, and the great Greek-Portuguese bakery a two-minute walk from the front door. This is a high-end section of Berlin that is considered safe, including after dark. The location is a quiet side street with little traffic. The building has a video entry device, so you can see who is outside before you open the door. There is a communal space to store a bike, should you have one. Please note that (a) this is a studio flat so there is no separate bedroom, and (b) there is no wifi or cable TV. There is a television, which has a "Smart TV" function to connect to a smartphone or tablet.
