Beautiful large lakeside home for creatives, academics, writers

Looking for a home away from home, within driving distance of all major tourist places in Ireland? This is a large family home particularly suited to artists, creatives, and academics who will appreciate the books, pictures, and other items that are tastefully dotted throughout this loving family home. Very private and peaceful, in a lovely part of Ireland, a perfect space for thinking and creating! Can be suitable for a small family or a group of artists and writers. We are two academics with young children who are currently away on sabbatical and we would love to host people who would appreciate and love our home as much as we do, and are tidy, caring and respectful of our space and belongings. The house is well-set up for.a family with a large bed room with the world's most comfortable mattress, and two smaller rooms with single beds (these also have spare trundle beds). There is also a sofa bed in the living room. Plus there is a second bedroom which has recently been redecorated. The local primary and secondary schools are less than 10 mins walk along a quiet safe road if you are here for a longer stay. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and quiet. There is GAA pitch nearby which hosts gaelic football, hurling and camogie games. These are worth experiencing. There is wooden decking and seating on the side and fenced garden all around the house. The house has large windows which let in light and has gorgeous views of the lake. The lake is down the road and perfect for a swim. You can sit in the balcony with a coffee and see the sun rise above the mountains or wind down after a long day seeing the sky turn orange over the lake. This is my favourite part everyday and I so miss it! It is also such a quiet inspiring space for reflection and thinking, creating and writing. There is a strong wifi for remote work, and the local cafe and local library is just 10 mins walk from the house too if you are working from home. There is a farmers' market every sunday morning and there is a really strong sense of community in the area. If you are boat people, this is the perfect place with local marina in walking distance. And in summer months, the lake is perfect for a swim., Two mile gate is a hugely popular picnic and swimming spot only 10 mins drive from the house, or you can just get up and walk down the lane for an early morning swim straight from the doortstep! Further away, the house is right in the middle of Ireland, and most major tourist destinations are only a couple of hours drive away at the most so you can easily do day trips with family. Trains also leave from Limerick city centre, and buses from Nenagh and Limerick which are less than 20 mins drive from here. There is also a bus to Limerick from here. Also if you are a golf lover, the Ryder Cup will be held in Adare Manor (only 20-25 mins drive from here) and this will be the perfect house for a large group to stay and enjoy the tournament.
