This exceptional Grade II-listed house in Limehouse set over five storeys with a rambling garden filled with roses and wisteria, with private, green views on both sides of the house. The house has a wonderful view of neighbouring St Anne’s Church, designed in the early 18th century by the English baroque architect Nicholas Hawksmoor. There are plenty of green spaces nearby; the gardens that surround St Anne’s Church to the rear of the house are studded with grand London plane trees and black poplars. Kings Wharf Park is opposite the house and connects to Ropemaker’s Field where there are tennis courts, a playground and a dog park. The historic Narrow Street, facing the river, is a five-minute walk across Ropemaker’s Field. Here, one of east London’s oldest pubs, The Grapes, can be found; it offers an excellent menu and a pub quiz every Monday. Local amenities, including a branch of Waitrose, are conveniently located in Canary Wharf which is a 15-minute walk from the house. Newell Street is located just east of the Limehouse Cut and Regent's Canal, which go to Bartlett and Victoria Park respectively. Stepney Green Park and Stepney City Farm and Cafe are also all a short walk away. The River Thames offers wonderful scenic walks either towards Wapping or the Isle of Dogs, and you can travel by boat up the river to the Tate and other attractions. Transport links are excellent; the house is within 10-minutes walk of both Limehouse and Westferry stations for National Rail and DLR services. On the DLR line, Bank station connects to multiple onward Underground stations. Canary Wharf is within easy walking distance and offers connections on the Elizabeth line and the Jubilee line. For international travel, London City Airport is a 15-minute drive away, or a 30-minute journey via the DLR.
