Private space in gorgeous colonial house

Description

We're looking for a tenant who would live in our third floor, which is a big, private area of our house. This area has a bedroom with a bed and a closet, and a big 'living room' with lots of books, shelves, a desk, etc. The tenant would also have their own bathroom with a big walk-in shower. The house is absolutely beautiful, tastefully decorated, and perfectly suited for a postdoc / visiting professor / lecturer / new professor who wants to settle into the Valley. It has everything an academic heart could desire: beautiful reading spaces, loads of books, a separate dining room with a huge table to work on, a beautiful sun room full of plants and lights that also serves as inspiring working area, a big high-tech kitchen, a huge garden with grill, fireplace, and dining area, a pool, a basement with TV area and gym, and more. Your house mate would be Guillermo, a professor in philosophy at UMass. You would also have to be comfortable living with two dogs; however, you would have zero caretaking responsibilities, of course. The house is located in the "Highlands" in Holyoke, MA. This area is beautiful and very safe. There are 5 tennis courts and a park just one block away. Mount Tom, which is a well-known hiker destination, is just a couple of minutes away. Many professors who work at all the colleges in the valley live in our neighborhood. Easthampton and Northampton are less than a 15 minute drive away. We are open to the possibility of 2 people moving in for a surcharge of $250.
