We are a creative couple , a Sculptor and a Fashion Designer with a passion for gardening. Our home mirrors our creativity: easy going and comfortable. The Villa is 13C and therefore the spirit of the place is old. A beautiful apartment on the 'Piano Nobile 'of Villa Schneiderf ,constructed between the 14C and 18 C, situated on a hill on the south side of Florence overlooking the town. We are 7kms from the Ponte Vecchio a 10 minute drive to the heart of Florence.The apartment is more a home than a tourist let, full of contemporary art, books and objects . Our home which, is airconditioned ,comprises of a luminous large 90m2 living space where guests will find a kitchen, a dining space and living room with a double bedroom and bathroom on the mezzanine. This space has 7 metre high painted ceilings,it was once a music room and from the large windows you can admire the Florence skyline. The next room has a small cabin a 'Wunderkammer' which has been used for exhibitions and can be used as a studio, office or fun bedroom, and on the mezzanine of this second room is a double bedroom. The third and last large room has another double bedroom and on the mezzanine are 2 single beds and can be used as an office. These last 2 rooms have access to 2 bathrooms separated by a shower .one bathroom has a double jacuzzi. From the living area there is a monumental stairway leading down to the private garden ,a small oasis of flowering borders and various sculptures and swimming pool. The Guests can enjoy alfresco dining and BBQs and the splendid sunsets over Florence. Lovers of gardens will find many unusual plants. There is a condominial neoclassical Park next to the private garden ,created by Baron Schneiderf in the 18C for acclimatising exotic plants to the mediteranean climate. Here we have the vegetable garden and fruit trees. There is ample parking outside the garden. Our guests usually arrive with a car . The nearest Bus stop is 2kms away in Bagno a Ripoli and we shall soon have a tramline straight into Florence !!! Chianti and its vineyards is a 20 minute drive away. The Motorway at Firenze Sud is 5minutes away
