We live in a parcel away from the busy Santiago on the Andean mountains range. It takes about 60 minutes to drive to the middle of the city but only 20 minutes to the the Puente Alto/La Florida that are largely populated districts with all the main businesses, banks, etc. plus public transportation to many areas of the city. Along the main road going up the mountain there are many restaurants, coffee shops, tours to areas of difficult access, sightseeing or sports, snowboarding in the winter or water sports on the river Maipo in the summer months. The cottage is secluded and private surrounded by mountains, trees, and an important river nearby, plus fresh mountain air that makes it a fantastic place for a retreat. The facilities are humble but with all needed to make it comfortable and convenient. Car rides can be made available to get to the plaza or the farmers market to go for groceries or to the Metro when needed. My car could be made available when I am away for your use. A total of Three people live or are around most of the time. Novia lives in the main house, Hernan is on the flat on the second floor of the house, and I am in the cottage when not away. The cottage is set separately from the house with its own area to enjoy the outdoors. I am a visual artist so this place is also my art studio and call it “Casa Taller” Because I lived in California most of my adult life, I travel to North America to visit or to show my art often and can make CasaTaller available for other likeminded folks like you and also can be very flexible on dates.
