My family and I live and work in Cairo, Egypt and Bandung, Indonesia. I serve as executive director of a legal nonprofit and also work as an adjunct law professor, with a future role as associate law professor at a university in Indonesia. This cabin is our primary residence in the U.S.; however, as we visit only a few weeks a year, we'd love for other academics, spouses and families to enjoy a cozy lakeside retreat while they pursue additional study, writing opportunities, or simply rest. The property is not meant for a large family: the ideal renter(s) would be an individual or couple, but a small family that enjoys each other would work just as well. The property was completely renovated and is managed by family members who live just two properties away. You have private access to Lake Michigan and a beautiful stretch of beach for walks. Escanaba is close (just 5 miles away) and has great shopping, coffee shops, a library and a lighthouse museum. There are also beautiful parks in Escanaba when the weather permits being outdoors.
