I am a McGill Professor preparing to relocate to Europe and am looking for someone to rent my beautiful apartment in the heart of Westmount—ideally through a lease transfer but a sublet would also work well. My two children and I spent two happy years here, and we have loved both the apartment itself and the neighborhood. The apartment is spacious (approx. 1,700 sq ft), light-filled, and located on the top floor of a beautifully preserved heritage building. Large windows offer wonderful views of the mountain, and the layout provides both openness and privacy: 3 bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, and 1 bathroom. Appliances are included, along with a washer and dryer. Indoor parking is available. The apartment can be offered furnished or unfurnished, depending on your needs. The location is excellent. The apartment is close to Westmount parks and steps from Selwyn House and other top schools. Shops and restaurants on Greene Avenue and in Victoria Village are within easy walking distance. For commuting, you can reach downtown universities easily—10 minutes by bike to Concordia and 20 minutes to McGill along the well-maintained De Maisonneuve bike path. Alternatively, the 80 bus on Sherbrooke Street provides quick and direct access. The landlord is friendly and very responsive, and the superintendent lives in the building and has always been helpful whenever I needed assistance (for example, installing and removing the window A/C units). I also have a cleaning lady who comes every two weeks for three hours. She is very reliable, and I’d be glad to connect her with the new tenant if that is of interest. The apartment will be available starting December 1 and my lease ends on June 30. The rent is $3,000 CAD/month, which includes all utilities and high-speed internet. There is some flexibility and room for negotiation. I am motivated to rent the apartment and would be happy to answer any questions.
