Comfortable One Bedroom on Capitol Hill, with a fireplace and a view.

Description

I am an attorney and will be in France for six months, and need to let out my condominium apartment while I am gone. It's been my home for 35 years and has many books on its shelves and art on the walls. It has a fireplace, a balcony with a view of Elliott Bay, and a rooftop terrace with a view of the Olympic Mountains. The bed is queen size, and there is a desk in the corner of the bedroom if you wish to work there. Otherwise I like to work from the table in the living room where I can see the mountains and the sea. The location is excellent. Walking north from my apartment you go through a historic district and end up in Seattle's beautiful Volunteer Park, designed by the Olmsteds. Go south 15 minutes and there's the vibrant Pike/Pine neighborhood, full of restaurants, bookstores and arts. The street I am on is quiet, with no freeway noise. Seattle University is about a mile to the south. The University of Washington is a single metro stop to the north, though it's not that far by bicyle either, or car. Downtown Seattle is just across the freeway, and I can walk to the Pike Place Market in 30 minutes. My building has 60 units and a full time on site manager. It's a security building and the residents are a stable group, including many full time resident owners. There a garage space on the first floor. The apartment is fully furnished with my kitchenware, linens and furniture, and you are welcome to make use of all of it. While I am in France my sister, who lives in Shoreline not too distant, will be my agent and capable of handling any concerns.
