This space was built with sustainable ecstatic's in mind. I lived in it and my company built it. Hoping to capture elements that make a home feel like a space that protects its inhabitants and its environment. With floor to ceiling windows that open wide the house has passive air flow. Cabinetry is bamboo throughout even the floors. There are low flow fixtures for using less water and tankless water heater. The space is open and bright offering a feeling of airiness and space. The kitchen opens into dining area and great room. There is also a spinning bike for the person who wants to move while home. The bedrooms upstairs are also spacious with built-ins in the closets for a clean sleek look. The furnishing are eclectic much like Silverlake itself. The home was designed with sustainability in mind and sports 10 things that make it so. The home was also featured in the 2010 DWELL design magazine article.
