Warm house in idyllic location with good public transport options

While on a sabbatical stay ourselves, we are now offering for rent our 2(4) bedroom family home. We are both researchers and have very much been enjoying to live here with our two (now) teenage daughters for more than a decade, and still do. It's a very quiet location in a friendly suburb of Oslo, in direct vicinity to the large forest area surrounding the city. In the forest, you can find endless hiking/skiing trails and several stunning lakes (with a small swimming lake in only 5 minutes walking distance). At the same time, connections to the city center are superb, with subway and major bus lines only a 10 minutes' walk away. The main campus area of the University of Oslo is about 10km away, and can be reached with a direct metro connection (20 min). Shops and local schools are all in walking distance. The house has three floors, of which we want to rent out primarily the lower two – but if needed, the uppermost floor could be added as well (with a corresponding adjustment of the rental fee). The core of the house is a beautiful open living room, including a dining area connected to a spacious kitchen. There is a large private terrace behind the house, with outdoor furniture and direct access to the forest, as well as a south-facing balcony in front of the house. A small garden with fruit trees and berry bushes completes the setting. A spacious home office is found in the ground floor with direct access to the garden, together with two sleeping rooms, a bathroom, separate toilet and a washing room. (In the top floor, there'd be two more sleeping rooms and a bath room). The garden requires minimal maintenance. Last but not least, we have the nicest neighbours in the world. :)
