The house is warm and well set up for a couple or a single person. It has two bedrooms (one queen, one double), an open-plan living and kitchen area that brings the forest right inside on all sides, central heating, and a wood-burning stove with plenty of wood for cooler evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped — please note there is a toaster oven rather than a full-sized oven. We'll make sure the wardrobe is cleared so you have plenty of space for your things. The closet is also a private office with large windows that open onto the forest. It is a very peaceful place to get work done! A few things to know: - Two bedrooms (1 queen bed, 1 double bed) - Central heating plus wood-burning stove - Shower (no bathtub) - Fully equipped kitchen with toaster oven (no full-sized oven) - Fast internet included - About 30 minutes to central Auckland, 5 minutes to the village of Titirangi by car - Direct access to wonderful native forest walks from the property - A resident cat named Suki lives on the property — she mostly keeps to herself and doesn't come into the house, but please note we can't accommodate additional pets - Best suited to adults; not ideal for young children - A car may be available to rent for an additional cost — just ask - A minimum 4 week stay - Leave the house as you found it, as there is no cleaning fee or service The owners live in the main house next door and are wonderfully welcoming while being very respectful of guests' privacy. This is a special place, and we'd love to share it with people who will appreciate and care for it.

Comments: Native bush sanctuary on the edge of the Waitakere Ranges — tui by day, moreporks by night, with a glimpse of the harbour. Titirangi village is 5 minutes away; Auckland's best forest walks begin at the door.
