LIGHT-FILLED LOFT IN THE HEART OF THE 14th ARRONDISSEMENT (with elevator)

I spent three wonderful months in Fraser beautiful loft in fall 2025. The place is spotless, and the bi-weekly cleaning service keeps it that way. Both Fraser and Fraser's property manager in Paris were responsive to inquiries. Very smooth communication.

The kitchen is very well equipped, a motivation to take advantage of the "commerces" in the neighborhood and try your hand at French cooking. Great fishmonger just around the corner, Ledreux, the Boursault cheesemonger is one of the best in Paris, multiple butchers (my favorite was on Rue Brézin). A little break from the delicious restaurant scene in the 14th.

The metro is practical, but you I had a less hectic experience taking the bus: the 38, 68 or 62 are downstairs from the apartment.

I spent 5 months in Fraser's duplex and it was a such a great place to be. If it is available for your dates, look no further. It is exactly like the photos portray it: classy, tastefully decorated, functional spaces, cozy sitting areas, excellent kitchen, great view, ample dining space, great cleaner, and those amazing windows! I loved the set-up on the upper level for writing: again, the light is amazing, the view over the rooftops inspirational, it really is a writer's haven.

And then there is the neighborhood. This area of the 14th is now my favorite. It has a real neighborhood feel, great businesses, excellent transportation to all over Paris. I also liked the neighbors and the gardienne became a good friend. This is a true find A+++

We spent 2 months in this lovely loft in the 14th arr. It has been renovated to a high standard, with a large, modern kitchen and bath. Plenty of built-in cabinets throughout ensure plenty of efficient storage space. Fraser has ensured the flat is stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay: plates, cookware, kitchen & bed linens, towels, etc. It is tucked away in a private courtyard, yet only 2 minutes from the Alesia metro & multiple buses. The neighborhood is terrific, with many (many!) food shops, restaurants, etc. Suzanne, the local apt. manager, is very helpful and responsive. Be advised that while the area is quiet, you can hear neighbors within the building (not uncommon for Paris).

All in all, a great stay!

It was a great plasure to stay in Fraser's delightful, beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and airy apartment. Everything went really well and it was easy to feel at home very quickly. The apartment is in an interesting complex and is very calm and quiet. It has a loft feel and benefits from being very airy. All faciities were were in place. The cleaning service was excellent though in fact it is easy to keep the apartment clean and tidy. Though I know Paris well I didn't have much acquaintance with the Alesia area - which I now can thoroughly recommend too. Busy and well-inhabited it has the kind of old-fashioned charm (food shops, cafe,s bars and restaurants facilities, easy transport) that some of the rouristic areas have lost.

I have rented apartments all over Paris (I come here regularly for work), and this apartment is the best in several ways: the apartment has the most light (fabulous windows!), the kitchen is wonderfully equipped, and the decor is simple and elegant -- the owner is an artist, and her artwork hangs on some of the walls. Both the owner and the apartment manager are extremely kind and responsive to any questions or concerns. The neighborhood is also superb, with markets, restaurants, and parks nearby. I would return here in a nanosecond!

So this review is for #40747, although Ann was a thoughtful, responsive host regardless of which of her two neighboring apartments you rent.

Loft #40747 was ideal. It was as spacious and light-filled as promised, with the added advantage of the light being indirect. So no direct sun to fight while working at home, and a real boon during a couple of nastly heatwaves! One of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris, with all the conveniences you could want, excellent shops and restaurants, and easy public transit access.

Ann's apartment is absolutely gorgeous, and Ann is an amazing and thoughtful host. The apartment has a spacious and functional layout, with excellent lighting throughout. The highlight is the 3 meter tall window overlooking a green courtyard and a sea of zinc Parisian rooftops. The kitchen and linen closet are well-equipped, and the bathroom is comfortable. The decoration and design in the apartment is beautiful. It's an incredibly comfortable space.

The location of the apartment is fantastic - Alesia is a great neighborhood. Metro line 4 makes the city center very accessible, and the bus system is convenient.

Finally, Ann is an AMAZING host. She helped us get oriented and settled in Paris, and we couldn't thank her enough for our stay!!!

Like the man who visited Hearst Castle as a guest for 2 weeks and ended up staying 2 years, my husband and I rented this apartment for a few months and ended up staying 2 ½ years. We could not have found a better apartment, a better landlady, or a better neighborhood. The apartment is perfectly appointed and very comfortable, and the building is nestled in the center of a wonderful complex full of plants and flowers and great neighbors. It is both quiet enough to hear birds in the morning, and steps away from cafés, restaurants, bakeries, markets, and major metro and bus lines. Landing in this apartment was the luckiest thing that could have happened to us.

The Ottanelli’s apartment is exceptionally well-located in a very French part of Paris (very few tourists). There are an excellent cheese shop, a fish shop, a grocer’s and a baker’s very close by, two supermarkets within a five-minute walk, and a market street within a ten-minute walk. There is a multiplex cinema just across the street and numerous cafés close by. The park Montsouris is a ten-minute walk down the rue d’Alésia. It is very easy and quick to get to central Paris from the apartment by direct metro and bus lines. The apartment itself is a former artist’s studio so one side of it is almost entirely north-facing windows. The apartment has recently been renovated and is well-furnished and well-equipped and imaginatively and tastefully decorated. There is a wonderful work/study space on the mezzanine in addition to a bedroom, living area, dining area and a kitchen. It was a marvelous and very comfortable place to spend a few weeks in Paris.
