Sauve is an exceptional, international medieval village known for its cultural activities, hiking trails, and proximity to the Cevennes, clean swimming rivers, and the Mediterranean. Our large 3.5-story (plus cave), 4-bedroom house is quiet, and bright with many windows, a large kitchen, a high-ceilinged living room that leads to a terrace that overlooks Sauve and the surrounding countryside. All bedrooms have armoires and built-in shelves. The house has been renovated with a new boiler, central heating, and airtight wood stove in the kitchen. A back alley and no house in front allows lots of sunshine, which is rare in the old homes of Sauve. All rooms have windows in both front and back to allow for light all day. The upper terrace has views over the town and the ruins on the hill behind. There is a lower terrace off the first level overlooking the back alley which is refreshing in summer and useful for laundry. The washing machine is on this level. We have great neighbors, many children in Sauve, galleries, gym, a library and many after-school programs. We are in the center of the old historical village, yet in a quiet area, one house from a lovely little square where children like to play. It is safe with no cars, but you can drive to the door to unload. We have a good well tuned piano, and guitar. You can phone unlimited internationally anytime, and unlimited high speed internet with cable tv. The house is currently available from April 2025 until Dec. 2025, negotiable for longer.
