It is situated in a quiet residential street, 15 minutes on the bus or by bicycle to the city centre and the famous University of Oxford with its excellent research libraries and beautiful colleges. We are offering our home at a significantly reduced rate since we would like our tenants to take good care of our special Bengal cat. Academics from overseas, Europe or other parts of the UK can get access to the world-famous Bodleian Library, one of the UK’s largest copyright libraries, by applying for a Reader’s Card (see https://www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/join-the-libraries/apply). There are many interesting things to do in Oxford and nearby. Throughout the summer there are concerts and outdoor theatre performances in the beautiful gardens of Oxford’s colleges. Woodstock and Blenheim Palace are just 20 minutes away, the Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty, is about 40 minutes by car. Typically English, the Cotswolds countryside offers fabulous walks, picturesque villages and nice pub lunches. London with its countless attractions can be reached by train (60 minutes from Oxford’s main station or the nearby Oxford Parkway station). Shops, restaurants, a luxurious gym and spa with heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, steam room, sauna etc. are all within 10 minutes walking distance.
