Description
We are a responsible, thoughtful couple looking especially for an exchange or rental that can take us to Berkeley or Oakland CA, to be near family, short or long-term. We are interested in exchanging or renting almost anywhere in the world as well. We have flexibility since we are primarily retired. One of us was the director of environmental nonprofits and the other continues to teach part time. Being home owners, we are knowledgeable and respectful of the care and time people put into their property. We live in Winnetka, Illinois, outside of Chicago near Northwestern University in Evanston, in a uniquely beautiful leafy green neighborhood, two blocks from Lake Michigan. We have lived in academic and diverse neighborhoods in Madison WI, Mill Valley CA, Minneapolis MN, and Chicago, and we've traveled widely and cared for places all over the US and other countries. We are quiet and tidy and will be writing, reading, hiking, exploring, meeting people, enjoying new surroundings, and being with family, wherever we are, We have successfully exchanged homes and have excellent reviews on Sabbatical Homes, Home Exchange, and Airbnb. We're healthy, super energetic, and keep up with all vaccines. We're perceptive, friendly, caring, trustworthy tenants, guests, and home exchangers.

Comments: We're especially careful and considerate, super capable to help maintain a property, and we could care for a cat. As public service retirees, we seek a clean, pleasing place with a reasonable rent or exchange. We are excellent tenants.

We have flexibility to travel since we're recently primarily retired. One of us was the director of environmental nonprofits and one continues to teach part time, respectful of the planet and always learning. We have extended family living in Chicago and in Oakland, California, and friends across countries. We're fully vaccinated with boosters and we'll keep up with all vaccines.
