Hello all! I am a clean and responsible person looking for a place from where to easily go to UMD where I will teach three times a week. I don’t have a car right now, thus it is essential that the place is near public transportation, particularly the green or red line or buses that take me to campus. I am looking either for a short-term solution that gives me time to find my own place (ideally, the whole month of August, or until January before the start of the Spring semester) or for the school year (until the end of May, more or less). I don’t have pets or other people with me, but I would like the opportunity to have guests from time to time, and an equipped kitchen where I can cook my own meals (I love cooking, plus it’s a healthier solution). It would be super if there were a washer and dryer that I could use!

About Me
Italian from Sardinia, former PhD student @Rutgers University, Italian studies. In the US since 2017 (New Jersey and New York, now relocating in the DC area to teach at UMD) - summers always in Sardinia (can’t live without the sun, the beach, and time with my family and lifetime friends). I don’t travel as much as I would like, but I’ve been to several places in Europe and outside of Europe, and lived a few months in Madrid and in Panama. Hard worker - I study a lot - but in my free time I like to spend as much time outside as possible, walking everywhere and learn everything there is to know about the place where I am, plus, the usual: reading, films, meeting people, exercising. Clean and responsible tenant: I take great care of my leaving environment, and always try to be an excellent roommate. I enjoy cooking (I mostly cook Italian food, but I’d like to learn more recipes) and mostly eat at home, but also like to eat out especially to try new foods!

Comments: Either looking for the school year, or for a place from where I can start looking at my own place. If shorter than the school year, ideally the lease would end at the end of August or the end of January, when I have time to move to a different place
