Emeritus Law Professor and Spouse Seeking Academic Retreat in UK or Paris

Description

We have been spending a month or two abroad each of the last few years in or near a university setttng and hope to do so in the UK or Paris this coming March or April. We have three adults, each with a partner, who have visited us briefly in prior years (one couple at a time; one lives in Amsterdam, the others in Portland Oregon; this year seems less likely but possible). We enjoy theater, architecture, music, food, museums, in (very) roughly that order, Being within an hour or so of venues and events is desirable, as is a quiet setting to work, wrote, sit. We have homes in NYC and Budapest and Portland OR and could consider exchanges. My fields have been jurisprudence, education law, civil procedure, education law, legal method; i was a founding faculty member of CUNY Law School (and Jeanne among its first administrators), whose motto has been Law in the Service of Human Needs.
