Description
We are a couple aged 49 and 51, without children or pets, coming to the USA from EU to conduct scientific research as part of a Fulbright scholarship for approximately six months. We are looking for a comfortable place to stay in a peaceful neighborhood, close to Stanford University School of Medicine (within easy biking distance) and reasonably accessible to public transportation. Essential amenities for me include Wi-Fi, washer, air conditioner, and fridge. During our stay, we are happy to take care of mail and plants in the home and garden, although this is not a requirement. We are open to both short-term and long-term rentals and are flexible regarding the lease duration.

About Me
I am a dedicated molecular biologist with over 25 years of experience studying human microbiomes—where our cells interact with the microbiota to influence health and well-being. My research focuses on immunology, especially microbiome immunology, using molecular biology to develop innovative therapies, including biologic drugs. I’m fortunate to have numerous scientific collaborations around the world, which allow me to travel extensively. Among my favorite destinations is the United States, where I’ve had the opportunity to visit many times. This time, I will be heading to Stanford University School of Medicine as a Fulbright grantee, where I’ll be studying the molecular determinants of microbiome immunogenicity. My research stay will begin in December 2025 and will span several months.
