British Visiting Academic looking for place to stay

I am a British legal academic and Fulbright Scholar who will be conducting research as a visiting global fellow at New York University School of Law. I am looking for a well-connected 1 to 2-bedroom apartment, condo, studio, or a sufficiently private space to stay for approximately 10 months (from Late September/Early October to mid-July; precise dates can be negotiated). My fellowship is funded by the Fulbright Program and is fully backed by the UK Government to prevent funding uncertainties. Additionally, I will still be receiving my UK salary from the University of Bristol. (Evidence of my funding and salary arrangements can be provided on request) I have rented apartments in the UK for over 15 years. I’ve always maintained a good relationship with my landlords and taken great care of the properties I’ve lived in. I do not smoke or vape, and I always aim to be a respectful neighbour. I am happy to look after cats and manage the mail. It will be just me living in the apartment, but my long-term girlfriend may stay over while visiting the US in November and late spring. I am happy to chat over MSTeams, Google Meet, etc.
