Friendly, Responsible Journalist Looking for Short or Extended Stay

I am a 69-year old documentary filmmaker & journalist who recently had to flee his apartment after a terrible fire started by a neighbor destroyed our home. Just Google "West 197th Street fire." I know what it is to sublet an apartment so I will be responsible and pitch in to help the host(s) when needed as I know things come up. I am also a good neighbor as I am courteous, kind and considerate of others. We are looking ideally for something for six months (perhaps shorter) but would be very open to a year and more as we intend to move back into our building. We are not demanding. We are just looking for a roof over our heads in a neighborhood that is in or not far from my daughter's school at 90th & Columbus Avenue. That said, I am willing to commute if we find the right place. My 9-year old daughter stays with me every other week. She is a super-responsible, empathetic and charismatic child who is quiet and considerate. In order to find something affordable, I am looking for a one bedroom provided I can install an air mattress in my bedroom or a "nook" where my daughter can sleep when she comes to visit every other week.
